Cabinet & door hardware. The finishing layer a homeowner notices first.

Knobs, pulls, hinges, slides, latches, and door trim — the parts of the build that get touched a thousand times before someone notices them. Two stocked brands cover the program from production-tier to designer-tier, in a finish range deep enough to spec the whole kitchen, bath, and entry off one schedule.

The brands we stock

Four brands, covering the program from production-tier to designer-tier.

Hardware doesn’t need a long brand list to spec well — it needs a complete one, with finishes that match across knob, pull, and hinge so the kitchen reads as one program. These four cover that spread; the rep helps mix tiers within a single order without breaking the finish call.

Emtek
Designer-tier door and cabinet hardware — the program builders specify when the kitchen and the entry both need to feel intentional. Solid brass and stainless construction, deep finish range, and matched families across knobs, levers, pulls, and hinges so a single schedule covers the whole house.

Pamex
Production-tier value brand for cabinet pulls, knobs, hinges, and slides — the workhorse program for spec houses, repeat townhome plans, and rental rehabs where the schedule has to land at a price the GC can quote without re-bidding. Same finish vocabulary as Emtek so substitutions are clean.

Kwikset
Production-tier residential door hardware — entry sets, deadbolts, knobs, and levers across SmartKey-rekeyable and conventional cylinders. The default builder program for spec homes and rentals where every lock on the schedule needs to key alike on day one without rekey trips.

Orca
Pocket-door frame kits and production-tier finish hardware — the high-frequency, every-order items that keep a build moving. Pre-assembled pocket frames drop into the rough opening without site fabrication; the finish-hardware range covers the routine knob, pull, and latch lines a spec house runs through.

Finish program
~50 finishes that hold across knob, pull, hinge, and door.
Matte black, satin nickel, oil-rubbed bronze, polished chrome, unlacquered brass, champagne bronze, and the rest of the modern range — specified once and held across every group on the schedule. The single most common reason builders consolidate hardware to one supplier.
Custom & specialty
Out-of-program pieces? Bring the spec, we’ll source it.
Architect-specified door hardware, salvaged-style fittings, oversized pulls for tall cabinetry, barn-door track, pocket-door hardware — if it’s on the schedule and we don’t stock it, the rep prices it through the right channel and folds it into the load.
By hardware group

Six product groups, each with its own spec decision.

A typical kitchen schedule pulls from four of these at once — cabinet pulls, cabinet hinges, drawer slides, and a passage set or two for the pantry. Specifying them as one program in one finish is the part of the job that’s easy to underspec and easy to fix.

Door hardware — passage, privacy, entry.
The handles, levers, and locks on every door in the house
Knobs & levers
Passage, privacy, dummy, and entry sets in matched families. Lever and knob styles in the same finish so a single house keeps one vocabulary from front door to laundry.

Deadbolts & entry sets
Single-cylinder and double-cylinder deadbolts, full entry sets with matched grip and trim. Keyed-alike sets available so the homeowner doesn’t walk in with a ring of three keys.

Pulls
Bar pulls (3″ through 18″), cup pulls, edge pulls, and appliance pulls in the full finish range. Sized matched across drawer banks — same family, scaled by drawer height. The single decision that dates a kitchen the fastest if it’s wrong.

Knobs
Round, square, and shaped knobs in the same finish program as pulls. The default for upper cabinets when the lowers run pulls; or the whole-kitchen call on a more traditional build.

Door hinges
Butt hinges, ball-bearing hinges, and decorative hinges sized to door weight. Finish-matched to the lever or knob — the small detail that separates a tidy install from one that reads as a bag of parts.

Cabinet hinges & drawer slides
Concealed cabinet hinges (face-frame and frameless), soft-close as the default. Undermount and side-mount drawer slides with soft-close, sized to drawer length. The hardware that decides whether the kitchen feels finished or feels cheap.

Specialty & barn-door
Barn-door track and rollers, pocket-door hardware, sliding closet systems, and other specialty fittings. Mostly to-order; spec early so the rough-in framing matches the hardware you’ve actually picked.

The style ladder

Three style families, each with its own finish vocabulary.

The hardware decision is downstream of the cabinetry style and the door style, but it’s where the house’s personality actually lands — the part the homeowner touches and notices. Most builds commit to one family and hold it from front door to powder room; mixing families across rooms reads as the house being designed by three different people.

Family 1Traditional

Traditional

Craftsman bungalows, classic farmhouses, and remodels that need to read with the original house. Knobs over levers, cup pulls over bar pulls, finishes that read warm and aged.

  • FinishesOil-rubbed bronze, unlacquered brass, antique nickel, polished brass
  • ShapesRound & egg knobs, cup pulls, ringed knobs
  • DoorsKnob sets with rosettes, ball-bearing butt hinges
  • Best forPeriod homes, traditional kitchens, classic baths
Spec to ship Same day – 1 week
Family 2Transitional

Transitional

The default for most new construction and most remodels — the family that doesn’t commit to a decade. Mixed knob/pull program, satin finishes, simple geometry that ages slowly.

  • FinishesSatin nickel, satin brass, matte black, polished chrome
  • ShapesBar pulls (3″–6″), simple knobs, edge pulls
  • DoorsLever or knob, modern rosettes, concealed hinges
  • Best forNew construction, remodels, spec houses, repeat plans
Spec to ship Same day – 1 week
Family 3Contemporary

Contemporary

Modern builds and high-end remodels — the family that commits hard. Long bar pulls, edge pulls, finger pulls, and door hardware that disappears into the slab. Less is more, and the finish has to be flawless.

  • FinishesMatte black, brushed stainless, champagne bronze, polished nickel
  • ShapesLong bar pulls (8″–18″), edge pulls, finger pulls
  • DoorsLevers on flat rosettes, concealed hinges, magnetic latches

Hardware lead times

Three planning bands, from a take-off list to the loaded truck.

Stock items in the standard finish range pick up the same day or roll on the next delivery. Extended Emtek finishes — the ones that aren’t in core stock but ship from the factory — are about a week and a half. Specialty and custom orders (architect-spec entry sets, oversize pulls, barn-door track to a specific finish) sit in the back band; spec early.

What pushes a job up the band: keyed-alike entry sets across multiple doors, oversize bar pulls (12″+), barn-door track to a specific finish, architect-spec privacy and dummy combinations, and any finish that lives outside the core stock list. Bringing a sample of an existing piece helps the rep match what’s already on the house.

How to spec hardware

Three ways to start a hardware order, pick whichever matches what you have.

01

Send a hardware schedule

Spreadsheet or PDF with door schedule, cabinet count, and finish call. We line-item the order back: pulls, knobs, hinges, slides, and door sets per room, with finish noted on every line. The standard production-house workflow.

Email schedule · quote returned line-by-line
02

Bring a sample

For matching an existing finish or replicating a piece from another house. Bring the knob, the pull, or the lever; the rep matches it in stock or specs the closest order-in option. The fastest way to land on the right finish without scrolling 50 swatches.

Walk in · Mon – Fri 7a – 4p
03

Walk the showroom with a kitchen plan

For custom homes and finish-driven remodels. Bring the kitchen plan and the door schedule; walk knob, pull, hinge, and lever samples in physical finishes with the rep. Leave with a coordinated schedule across cabinet, door, and bath.

Send a hardware schedule, a sample, or a kitchen plan — we’ll price it line by line.

Pulls, knobs, hinges, slides, latches, and door sets — quoted as a single load with one finish call running through it. Stock items pick up the same day; extended finishes ship in a week and a half; specialty orders sit in the back band, so spec early.
